Displaced at the Human Rights Arts Festival in North Dakota

Updated: May 21, 2020

My new experimental film Displaced, has been chosen as an Official Selection for the 2020 North Dakota Human Rights Arts Festival. The film will screen as part of a touring exhibition at art museums and galleries throughout North Dakota, January to July 2020. The first exhibition site is at the Plains Art Museum in Fargo. In February will screen at the Bismarck Downtown Artist Co-Op in Bismarck; in Grand Forks in the spring; and in Minot a the Taube Museum of Art in June of 2020.

Displaced is a poetic experiment, an opportunity to explore my experiences of constant movement between distant geographic spaces. Displaced is an attempt to understand my thoughts and feelings as an immigrant. Through this project I have discovered that home is a fluid word and belonging a state of mind.
